Since 2017, the Chorégies d'Orange have been getting thousands of secondary school pupils singing along with Pop the Opera! On stage at the Théâtre Antique d'Orange, during the Musiques en Fête programme, live from the Chorégies d'Orange, in the Place du Palais des Papes in Avignon or at the Auditorium Jean Moulin in Le Thor: singing can be shared in any way you like! In 2024, nearly 1,200 students from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region will be singing along to Pop the Opera in three performances, in Le Thor and Orange. Under the starry sky of the Théâtre Antique, in a festive atmosphere, the young artists will perform the greatest opera choruses combined with the greatest pop and film hits, in a musical setting where electro sounds will be superimposed on traditional instruments.
As part of the Chorégies d'Orange educational project, in partnership with the Académie d'Aix-Marseille.
